The Fibre Company's Ireby, designed by Clare Devine, is a cabled cowl worked from the bottom up in the round. The cable pattern can be worked using either written instructions or the chart provided.
YARN:
The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% merino wool, 30% masham wool, 10% mohair, 300 m (328 yd) per 100g hank) in Eden Valley – 1 hank
NEEDLES:
3.5mm (US 4) 50 cm (20 in) circular needle.
Cable needle.
TENSION/GAUGE:
30 sts and 33 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over Cable Pattern worked in the rnd using 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.
12 sts (1 Cable Pattern rep) measures 4 cm (1.5 in) using 3.5mm (US 4) needles.
GARMENT MEASUREMENTS:
Length: 56 cm (22 in)
Width: 30 cm (12 in)
