The Fibre Co. Arranmore Light - Fell Garth II: St. Bega mitts, designed by Emma Welford, are fingerless mitts worked in the round in one piece. Tucks are knitted into the piece as it is worked.
YARN:
The Fibre Co. Arranmore Light (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk, 300 m (328 yd) per 100g hank) in Slieve Sunset – 1 hank.
You’ll also need smooth scrap yarn in a contrasting colour for the lifelines.
NEEDLES:
3.75 mm (US 5) set of double pointed needles or circular needles for your preferred method of working in the rnd.
3.75mm (US 5) straight / double point or cable needle for tucks.
TENSION/GAUGE:
21 sts and 35 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st worked in the rnd using 3.75mm (US 5) needles.
GARMENT MEASUREMENTS:
Circumference: 20 cm (8 in) at wrist/hand, 23 cm (9 in) at cuff
Length: 21 cm (8.5 in)
